census for 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930
If
the person is living with a Native American group the census will show
a special form having 15 lines numbered from 1 to 15, at the top of the
page recording the usual federal census information. If the person is found in this section on line #1,
drop to the lower half of the page, to line 1. There you will find the person’s Indian name, his
tribe, his quantum of Indian blood, his father’s tribe and quantum and his mother’s tribe and
quantum of Indian blood.
This
information is acceptable to the US Government for establishing
Native
American blood,
for their purposes and also for employment purposes. It is not
acceptable
